There is a shortage of processing capacities in Novosibirsk region - Igor Eliseenko

The expert noted that in the region, milk production per day is 1,700 tons, and 43% is processed. According to him, the rest of the milk is exported to Altai region, Kemerovo and Omsk regions.

Igor Eliseenko said that there is a shortage of processing facilities in Novosibirsk region. So multinational companies, such as Danone and PepsiCo, reduce the production of dairy products.

At the same time, the expert noted that in some parts of the region there is a decrease in the number of livestock, and in some parts - an increase.

So, on January 1, 2021, the indicators in Altai region fell to 116.6 thousand, in Omsk Region – to 68.8 thousand, in the Kemerovo region – to 22.9 thousand, in Irkutsk region – to 24 thousand. A slight increase in indicators was observed in Krasnoyarsk region (up to 69.5 thousand) and in Tomsk region (up to 14.3 thousand).

Earlier we wrote that for a year the number of forage-fed cows in Novosibirsk region decreased by 1.5 thousand.
