According to Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, sufficiency in milk and dairy products in 2020 was 84%, with the current bar - 90%. The politician said this during the five-hundred-second meeting of the Federation Council, reports The DairyNews.
‘There is a lot of work ahead in the areas of agriculture where the indicators of the food security doctrine were not implemented in 2020. This includes new indicators that have been there since 2020. In particular, for milk and dairy products, the preliminary sufficiency in 2020 was 84%. Our target is 90%,’ Dmitry Patrushev said.
The politician added that the Ministry of Agriculture plans to stimulate business actively and specifically provides a whole range of measures, for which 37 billion rubles was allocated in 2020. In particular, this year the Ministry of Agriculture plans to increase milk production by another 400 thousand tons.
