The price of imports of dairy products to Russia exceeded 44 rubles/kg
The key factor in the growth of the import price was weakening of the ruble. Accordingly, the import price in dollars decreased by 3% to 0.56 USD/kg compared to last week.
The import price of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter remained at the level of 53.16 rubles/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey increased by 0.3% to 37.49 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 38.43 rubles/kg.
The increase in the import price and the weighted average price of milk in Russia supports the increase in the key indicator, Dairy Index DIA. Dairy Index DIA as of January 31, 2022 amounted to 34.32 rubles / kg (excluding VAT, fat - 3.6%, protein - 3.0%), which is 0.15% higher than last week and 17.3% higher than at the end of January 2021.
