The Center for advanced technology development (CATD): a pilot project on the labeling of dairy products is expected to be implemented in the near future
- The first-second quarter of 2019 is preparatory work. In the third quarter we will organize a pilot project on the labeling of dairy products. By the first-second quarter of 2020 there will be prepared a report, by the results of which the decision on the introduction of obligatory labeling of finished products will be made, - said Kirill Volkov.
We will remind, since July 1 registration of manufacturers of finished dairy products in the “Mercury” system and issuance of electronic veterinary accompanying documents will become obligatory. It is assumed that on July 1, the list of "Mercury" will include milk, whey, butter and cheese, since November 1 – fermented dairy products, yoghurts.
