Dmitry Patrushev: In 2021, the volume of milk production amounted to 32.3 million tons
Despite all the difficulties, the industry as a whole shows stable results, Dmitry Patrushev noted. In 2021, 32.3 million tons of milk was produced in 2021, according to preliminary estimates, the minister said.
Over the past year, 170 livestock farms were built and renovated, which allowed an additional half a million tons of milk to be produced. The average productivity was 6.8 tons per cow.
Stable production indicators help to increase exports – in 2021 it amounted to $ 390 million, which is almost three times higher than in 2020. The traditional importers are the neighboring countries, which account for about 90% of exports.
The key destinations are China, South Korea, Egypt, Singapore and Saudi Arabia. A number of areas, according to the Minister, are new and continue to develop.
