Danone will increase production capacity in Moscow region
‘The group of companies Danone decided to optimize production and move production lines from another region to existing plants located in Chekhov city district of Moscow region. The company explains this by the lack of conditions for the full functioning of the existing production enterprise on the territory of Vladimir region,’ said Sergey Voskresensky.
The company Danone is represented in Moscow region by two plants – a dairy plant in Chekhov district and a baby food plant in Istra. Key brands are "Prostokvashino", "Activia", Actimel, "Rastishka", "Danissimo", "Danone", "Biobalance".
‘Moscow region is one of the most attractive regions for the organization of food industry enterprises not only because of its proximity to the largest market for products, but also because of the uniqueness of its territory. The territory of the region allows for the placement and smooth functioning of various agricultural enterprises, taking into account all the features of urban planning rules and norms of current legislation,’ said Sergey Voskresensky.
Acting Minister reminds that in October last year, the government of Moscow region and the plant of baby food "Istra – Nutricia" of the company "Danone" signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the regional project "Export of agricultural products".
Earlier we reported that cottage cheese under the brand Valio will be produced in Moscow region.
