Alexander Tkachev will remain Minister of agriculture

Last week, the publication "FederalPress" with reference to the State Duma Deputy Natalia Kostenko reported that Alexander Tkachev is likely to leave the Ministry of agriculture. Analysts highly appreciated the possibility of Tkachev to keep the post, but the media have repeatedly made statements about the transfer of the Minister to the post of presidential plenipotentiary envoy for the Southern Federal district.

Earlier, participants of the dairy market in the comments to The DairyNews expressed their opinion about the work of the Ministry of agriculture and a possible candidate for the post of its head.

- I am not going to talk about who will become the new Minister of agriculture, but estimating the work of Tkachev, I can say that his policy in the dairy industry is not effective enough. I would like to believe that with the arrival of the new government the situation will improve. There are opportunities for this, it is important to want to change for the better, - said the representative of one of the dairy enterprises of the regions.

However, most of market participants positively estimate the appointment of Gordeev to the position of a supervisor of agro-industrial complex in the Government. Earlier Alexey Gordeev held the position of Governor of Voronezh region, known for its high performance in the field of agriculture and dairy farming. From 1999 to 2000 Gordeev headed the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, combining this position with the position of Deputy Prime Minister.
