The government approved a list of pedigree products that are free from VAT

According to the document, changes made to the Tax code of the Russian Federation, help to reduce the cost of pedigree products, sold and imported on the territory of Russia, and creation of highly productive herd on farms of all categories, according to The DairyNews.
The signed Government resolution approves:
- the list of codes of types of pedigree products exempted from VAT taxation when sold (transferred for own needs) in accordance with the National classification of products;
- the list of codes of types of pedigree products exempted from VAT taxation when imported onto the territory of Russia and other territories under its jurisdiction in compliance with the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign economic activity of Eurasian Economic Union
The resolution applies to legal relations arising from 1 October 2016 and refers to pedigree dairy and beef cattle, pedigree goats, sheep, pigs, stallions and mares, genetic material and embryos of pedigree cattle.
