On November 26 a zero rate of VAT on the import of cattle will come into force

The Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding said that on November 7 they obtained approvals from the concerned ministries: the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of economic development and Federal Customs service. "On 8 November the Ministry of agriculture issued for the Ministry of Justice a decree on confirmation of the form and procedure of issuing permits for the import of pedigree products. Tomorrow the order is to be registered. The order will come into force 10 days after the moment of its registration".

Kharon Amerkhanov also said: "Today the Ministry of agriculture sent a letter to all regions of the country to suspend the enterprises with the importation of cattle till November 26."

Taking into account the bureaucratic procrastination the time of entry of the order into force may still be delayed. However, "on November 25-26, it is possible to import the cattle at a zero rate," said the official.
