FAS issued a warning to Vasily Boiko-Velikiy and Arkady Ponomarev for the forecast of milk price growth

The Federal Antimonopoly service sent a warning to the President of the agricultural holding JSC "Russian milk" V. V. Boiko-Velikiy and Chairman of the Board of non-commercial organization Russian Union of dairy industry enterprises (Dairy Union of Russia), A. N. Ponomarev about the inadmissibility of actions that may lead to violation of the Antimonopoly legislation, said the press service of the FAS.

The basis for sending the warnings was the public statements of the officials on the planned behavior in the product market to raise prices on milk and dairy products. The implementation of the proposed actions may result in the violation of the provisions of articles 11 and 11.1 of the Law on protection of competition.

"Such statements are unacceptable because they can cause a coordination of market participants to raise prices on milk and dairy products," - said the Head of the Control Department of the chemical industry and agroindustrial complex of FAS of Russia Anna Mirochinenko.
