Evgeniya Uvarkina: Genetic improvement of cattle will provide increasing demand for raw milk in Russia
This was said by Evgeniya Uvarkina, Chairman of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, at the Conference “Samara Region Dairy Industry Situation” held within the Rally “Way for Milk”.
Demand for raw milk during the period from 2015 to 2025 is likely to increase by 20%, according to the expert’s expectations. Current level of milk consumption totals 37.4 million tons, and may increase to 46.9 million tons by 2025, she said.
