A meeting on agribusiness development in the Republic of Crimea in the form of videoconference was held at the Analytical center of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia on January 17.
The participants of the meeting discussed results of work of the regional agro-industrial complex over the past year and identified areas of development of agriculture of the Republic of Crimea in 2017.

Special attention was paid to effective use of state support measures and allocated funds. It is noted that in 2016 3 billion rubles, which was brought to the farmers in full amount (100%) was allocated from the Federal budget on support of agriculture of the Republic of Crimea. The first Deputy Minister reminded that this year a number of new support measures, including a single grant will come into force and instructed the regional authorities to accelerate the preparation and adoption of all documents necessary for timely financing of agribusiness in the region. "Crimean agrarians must receive funds for sowing before the start of field work. Funding will begin immediately after the registration of all proper documents," – emphasized Dzhambulat Hatuov.

The head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Crimea Andrey Ryumshin thanked the Ministry of agriculture for the support of the producers of the Crimea and informed about the results achieved in agriculture. In 2016 the region collected 1.3 million tons of grain, which is 2% higher than a year earlier, 366 thousand tons of vegetables – 3% above the level of 2015. Gross yield of fruit reached 144 thousand tons, the growth made 18%. In the framework of the development of land reclamation in the Republic 481 hectares of reclaimed land (277%) was introduced in crop rotation by the end of the year. In 2017 it is planned to introduce another 1,500 ha. They managed to increase the number of cattle up to 60 thousand heads. "In recent years in the Republic there is a positive dynamics in the development of such areas as cattle breeding, sheep breeding, poultry farming, and the provision of dairy products is increasing", – said Andrey Ryumshin. He also said that sowing of winter crops for the harvest-2017 was carried out on the area of 437,8 thousand hectares (+ 8.4% compared to 2016).
