"Damate" plans to start production of milk in Tyumen region in the first quarter of 2017

Group of companies "Damate" plans to begin milk production at the complex in Tyumen region at the end of the first quarter of 2017. This was reported by a member of the Board of Directors of "Damate" Nick Halliwell in his speech at the Russian Agribusiness Forum.
"Now we are waiting for the delivery of the first batch of cattle and we will produce the first milk at the end of the first quarter. This will be one of the largest complexes in Russia," he said.
At the moment, "Damate" has already invested 3 billion rubles in the project, as it follows from presentation of the company.
In March 2016 "Damate" announced the beginning of construction of the dairy complex in Tyumen region for 4.6 thousand cows with a capacity of 44.7 thousand tons of milk per year. The total investment in the project amounts to 5.5 billion rubles. The project is being implemented under an agreement signed in late 2013 between "Damate" and Danone, under which the milk, produced at the complex, will be sent for processing to the enterprises of Danone.
